I'm gab

With over a decade designing products across industries, I’ve lately focused on helping teams to deliver lasting experiences through design systems, most recently building Harmonica at MakeMusic.

More about me, glad you’ve scrolled this far
I believe craft and quality are essential ingredients for successful software and brands. Still, my work approach is simple. I focus on the essentials, design with purpose, and build on lessons of product lifecycles: Embrace change, adapt constantly, and team up with people to create something meaningful.
It's been a long time since I launched a website to showcase my work, and honestly, I wish it were easier to maintain. I'm not extremely opinionated about how we should use the internet (everyone should do what feels right for them). Still, I want to keep believing technology is a tool that allows us to do more with less. It requires constant effort to understand how much is enough. This website is a result of that reflection.
Over the past twelve years, I’ve moved around a couple of cities, and I’m grateful for every experience and the people I’ve had the chance to meet and learn from. That has helped define me, my work, and why I keep choosing the design industry. I can’t imagine doing anything else, because I don’t know what else it would be.
My ultimate goal is to shape the life I want to live and make it happen. In the meantime, I have a dog to feed, and that's a good motivation to get paid for designing things people want to use. But primarily, I do it because I enjoy it. Some projects have been more fulfilling than others, but nothing is perfect, and I am okay with that. The most important thing is to keep changing, as long as it’s worth it.
I'm not collecting any data or tracking your every move here. I'm simply thankful you stopped by and chose to stick around. If you ever feel genuinely motivated to share your thoughts about this whole thing, just reach out.
